Europe is changing rapidly. Many Europeans know nothing about Christianity. We meet people who long for fulfilment and peace, who seek truth and meaning in all places, but never consider the Church.
We are Jelle and Janneke Huisman and we want to see people find truth, goodness and the beauty of the deep tradition. Not for the sake of nostalgia, but because the future of Christianity in Europe depends on it.
What we do
Understanding the task
Jelle combines his missions experience with theological reflection on the future of Christianity in Europe. He writes:
“Sometimes you need to zoom out to understand what is happening right in front of you. My task as a missiologist is to provide that perspective, so that we understand the needs and opportunities of today and prepare the leaders of the future.”
Leading people on the Way
Janneke has written two books and led retreats in three European countries, where she helps people to experience the blessing of silence and a rule of life.
Someone wrote “Janneke knows how to create peace, and there is a choice of how to work with your Rule of Life. The quiet way appeals to me.“
